8-16-2021 Paul’s Last Letters Study 9

Paul’s last letters – Paul’s letter to Titus. Titus 2:1 – 5 Paul telling Titus to teach sound doctrine. Titus is to instruct men and women on how to behave. Titus 2:6 – 10 Titus should instruct younger men by setting an example. Act in such a way that unbelievers cannot criticize believers as being hypocrites. Paul urges slaves to be subject to their master. Be respectful. Titus 2:11 – 15 the “grace of God” is Jesus Christ. Jesus brings salvation to all men. Live godly in the present age. The blessed hope is the return of Jesus. Jesus is our Redeemer to purify all people for himself.  Titus 3:1-7 Believers are to be subject to their rulers/government. Be gentle and peaceful. We were all foolish and disobedient and slaves to passions and pleasure before we were saved. All for the purpose of eternal life. Titus 3:8 – 11 Believers should be engaged in good deeds. Practice what you preach as believers. Don’t get in divisive arguments about things outside of the gospel. Titus 3:12 – 15 Paul is asking help for several of the fellow believers.
